--i'll be your main attraction--
[.B.]lackness. That was the color that gripped the landscape with its clawed, demonlike clutches. Though the charred landscape was ebonite and seemingly poisoned, the grass did not crack nor die 'neath her obscidian paws. It was a curious thing, this place. Looking towards the horizon, the dying sun's head opaqued by the eroaching cloudcover, a slight wind blew the secrets of the earth into and around the female wolf. Shaking her pelt, the energy that billowed behind her furry black fur seemed to fill her up, every fiber of her being aching to free the pent up agitation and angst. She knew not what her body was trying to purge her of. Nothingness was this wolfen's only past, an accident not even recalled by the moon singer's memory. She felt as though she should feel sorrowful that her history was nothing but a word to her, but it left her with no emotion when she pondered what she had been doing up until six months ago.
[.A.] sharp caw raced into her soft ears and she turned her head in a matter of halfseconds to spy the fleeting form of a raven descending upon a dead carcass. In a flurry of satin multi-hued feathers, the flock of scavengers rose into the air to remove themselves from the black wolfess's presence. Striding towards what the avians had been greedily devowering, the wolfess noted it was no mere prey creature. Her eyes did not widen in horror, nor did her heart scream for the mangled and half-eaten form of a wolf pup. A wave of sorrow imposed its way over her like a tidal wave threatening to swallow her whole. True, she was usually as emotionless as the churning sea or towering precipiece, but this was too much for any wolfen to bear. She didn't care how tough darken wolves pretended to be; there was one fact that remained true in female wolves. Seeing a pup, it didn't even have to be your own, would cause you such grief that mourning would never ease in the back of their minds. For months, every time the wolfen closed their eyes they would see the life draining from the soft, child-like optics of the pup. Looking back at the crows, she cursed them in every language she knew, and replaced her attention on the pup. She couldn't leave him like this, fodder for the crows. Picking the limp tawny body in her jaws gently, she began to dig.
[.A.]fter minutes of exposing the soft flesh of the earth and covering the mangled bod of the wolf pup, the female sighed, her heart heavy. The ravens screamed at her for stealing their meal, but she payed no mind to their senseless banter. Sitting next to the makeshift grave, the female lifted her crania to the stars and released her angst in song, melancholy tunes weaving their way around her form and frightening the crows away at last. Lady Luna seemed to weep for the lost little one, for the light of the moon dimmed ever so slightly in reverence. Its soft glow coated the land in a sensual and comforting embrace, as if to console it. The everlasting love did not reach the iced heart of the black one. Atop the knoll she continued her depressive lament, her pelt shining in the moonbeams like glittering black diamonds.

A flurry of feathers erupted as the female wolf chased them away from their dinner along with a chorus of protesting caws as the crows took off. One stayed behind, though, watching her calmly through beady black eyes, it's usually black feathers stained with blood. This bird was much larger then the birds that had taken flight and it's feathers were a different color black, glossier and healthier so they had a blueish purple sheen to them in this light. These differences marked it for what it was, a raven, a larger and more intelligent version or the crows that had taken flight and rarely seen in these parts, but this one had come to join in the feast. Of course it stayed and watched the female mourn for the pup before spreading it's wings and taking off with a farewell croak. It glided in a wide circle around the female before flapping it's wings and heading off in the opposite direction, croaking at the crows who continued to circle near by to move out of it's way.
The large white male was laying quite contently in the lake, the cool water lapping against his muscular frame and he was completely relaxed when he heard a croak above him then a flutter of wings. Finally he felt a fairly heavy weight on his shoulders and he opened his lavender eye to look around. With a groan he lifted his head and craned it around to look at the raven. "Back! Back Fo Fo! Fo Fo come back to Nothing! Squawk!"the raven croaked excitedly as it hopped around on the male's back. Forsaken rolled his eyes but nodded and smiled slightly. He didn't love the nickname the bird had given him but she was still helpful. The raven croaked again and ruffled her feathers as she hopped along Forsaken's spine to come to rest on his shoulder's by his neck.
"Evil witch lady taking Nothing's food" she continued, lifting a wing and pointing the the direction a mournful howl had erupted from. Across the charred grass and from somewhere within the Abyss. He had always enjoyed the Abyss, it reminded him of Old Eden back in Taiyae. He nodded to the bird and stood, the raven flapping her wings to keep balance until he was completely standing then he padded towards the Abyss where the howl was heard. He moved with the fluid grace a fighter possessed, his muscles taunt like iron cords as if expecting a fight as well. He moved in his customary cat like manor, head down and shoulders rolling so the raven had to move back a bit.
"Someone you know die? he questioned easily as he finally came upon the female and sat, Nothing hopping up onto his shoulder before croaking and taking flight, perching herself on a nearby tree branch before the female could see her on the male's shoulder. Forsaken watched the bird for a moment before looking back to the female, gazing at her through mismatched eyes. ooc// finish, sorry for the crappyness!
